Technical Aspects

Manuscripts should be written in Microsoft Word (font Times New Roman). They should not be any longer than 10,000 words. Please send them including a pdf-version and any additional images in electronic form via e-mail to the editors (wzkmredaktion.orientalistik@univie.ac.at). Style guidelines both for articles and reviews, as well as an example are provided.

Procedures for external peer review

Manuscripts are reviewed by at least one independent expert in the relevant area. The reviewers make a scientific assessment and a recommendation to the editors. Peer reviews will be single blind. The handling editor considers the manuscript and the reviewers’ comments before making a final decision either to accept, accept with revision or to reject a manuscript.

WZKM adheres to the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers and expects its reviewers to do likewise.
